That's what this community does so well.
Bendigo Foodshare launched its Everyday Central Vic Appeal to raise $100,000 at noon. A few hours later more than $30,000 had rolled in.
Another group offered an in-kind donation of $20,000 in solar panels.
It's heartwarming stuff.
The community simply cannot afford to stand back and watch an asset as valuable as Bendigo Foodshare struggle for survival.
It's imperative we keep up the momentum to secure the other $70,000 needed to ensure Bendigo Foodshare can continue its great work in the community for the next financial year.
Then we need to set about securing the years that follow.
