AS patrons walked through track after track at the Elmore Events Centre, it was impossible not to be overawed by the ever expanding technological advances.
"You just see so many new pieces of machinery that you don't normally get to see," Michael Purden, of Shepparton, said.
"It's great to get a close look at these big tools."
Visitors to Elmore weren't the only ones to get up close and personal with the machines either.
Victorian Agriculture Minister Peter Walsh spoke with exhibitors as he helped to judge the innovative machinery awards.
Mr Walsh said he was always impressed at the huge site at Elmore, and in particular the machinery.
"I had a look at the new ranges of tractors and hay feeders, a few boom sprays and one remote controlled aeroplane," he said.
Farmers trudged out to the demonstration paddocks throughout the day as exhibitors had the option of operating live displays. including tillage, silage and hay baling machinery.
Elmore Field Days chairman of demonstrations Andrew Holmberg said it added another dimension to a sales pitch.
"Normally the ones who are keen to do demonstrations know exactly what they're doing," he said.
"People like to look at which ones have the best edges and so on."
