"My grandfather used to say, people might not remember if you're here, but they'll definitely remember if you're not," McCullochs Hydraulic Engineers director Jeff McCulloch said.
The Bendigo-based company has attended every Elmore Field Days since the first in 1963. The company has evolved over the decades, and so have the field days.
"We regard the event really highly," Mr McCulloch said.
"You see a lot of the same customers every year. The good thing about it is that it's difficult for farmers to even get one day off to sort out what they need to get done. But it's all in one place for them here."
Grogans Machinery have also set up a site at all 51 Elmore Field Days.
Director Matt Grogan said it was a great opportunity to advertise what they have on the market.
"You can show people that you're still in the game," he said.
Mr Grogan said farmers were always looking for new ways to become more efficient on-farm, something that machinery companies were keen to cash-in on through increased automation.
"We've seen tractor companies talking a lot more to machinery manufacturers," he said.
