The only difference this week is the hundreds of pieces of farm machinery that line the paddocks, the stall upon stall in the packed pavilions and the smell of genuine carnival atmosphere, mixed in with the sights and sounds of country Australia.
The Elmore Field Days are ready to go for 2014, showing all of the machinery that keeps agricultural industries ticking over.
The shearing shed will be a hive of activity throughout the three days, machinery demonstrations will show the latest in on-farm technology and the Ag Art fashion show will offer the usual dose of colour and interest.
While the annual features are sure to entertain, Elmore Field Days president Frank Harney said there are a number of new additions for 2014.
"Fire brigades from the Hunter group will show off their new $500,000 fire trucks, only recently arrived at the stations," he said.
"The safety features on these trucks are state-of-the-art. People will be able to have a close look at the field days."
The final touches were also being placed on the Taste More pavilion, a new addition to this year's event.
Olives, a vast array of seasonings, cured meats, cheese and wine will line the tables.
Mr Harney said companies were just as interested as ever in having one of the 700 sites.
"They are always very keen to come to us, it's a well-respected event," he said.
"There's a waiting list for those keen to take part. We tend to rotate them around so businesses have an opportunity to have an exhibit."
Gates are open from 8.30am to 5pm, Tuesday to Thursday. Entry is $18 for adults and $8 for secondary school students.
