BENDIGO struck back from a 7-2 loss in the morning's play against Ballarat to score a 5-4 victory in Thursday afternoon's match against West Gippsland at Golf Victoria's Country Week Shield action at Keysborough.

After starting the three-day event with a win and draw, Bendigo teed off against a Ballarat line-up which had a loss and victory in Wednesday's opening rounds.
Neangar Park young gun Lucas Herbert and Axedale's Hayden Nielsen were the only players in Bendigo's team to win against Ballarat.
Herbert won 4 and 2 against Lyle Kelly.
Nielsen scored a 2 and 1 win against Bevan Morton.
