The area, bordered by Crusoe Road and Queen Street, has experienced 17 break-ins reported to police since September 1.
Detective Sergeant Col Grenfell said police believe the same person, or group of people, was responsible for the incidents.
He said entry to the cars was usually gained by smashing the windows.
"Cars have been broken into under carports, on the street, in carparks," he said.
"They have also been targeted in motel carparks. One motel has been done twice.
"The break-ins are usually late at night."
Mainly cash, computer items, sunglasses and other valuable items had been taken.
Police encourage anyone with information to contact Bendigo CIU on 5448 1300 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
