The 20-strong is turning plenty of heads with their choice of clothing.
Spokesperson Doug Doran, who donned a leopard print suit for the occasion, said the group was in Bendigo today after being bundled out in last weekend’s Maryborough-Castlemaine District Football League grand final.
Despite attempts to be “low-key”, he believed the group, which also included elves, had likely failed dismally.
But don’t be fooled by the costumes, this group of sporting nuts know their football and had plenty of good words to say about today’s game.
“Football is very much a part of the Australian culture and this Bendigo grand final is always a great game,”
“It’s a great ground, a beautiful day – what else could you want.
“You never know who will win, it’s a two-horse race. My head says Storm, but my heart says Sandhurst.”
