Dual Michelsen medallist Martin suffered a dislocated ankle in the preliminary final last Saturday night and was still in a moonboot at training on Thursday.
But he passed a fitness test on Friday night and Dragons coach Brett Fitzpatrick said Martin would take his place in the grand final side against Strathfieldsaye.
“Marto’s effort in his rehab all week to get himself up for Saturday has been unbelievable,” Fitzpatrick said.
“He has done everything right and tonight he moved around without any medical assistance.
“He’ll be there at the opening bounce on Saturday.”
While Martin will play on Saturday, Dragons’ midfielder Nick Stagg (shoulder) and half-forward Joel Wharton (hamstring) are still to be locked in as certain grand final starters.
At Strathfieldsaye, the Storm confirmed Tom Bartholomew and Jayden Donaldson would return to the side, with Jake Dickens and Nathan Moffat the unlucky pair to make way.
