Bendigo businesses and organisations will offer a number of activities to entertain and excite students while they break from learning.
The holidays go from September 22 to October 3.
Bendigo's Discovery Science and Technology Centre will help students explore the world of machines.
New science and planetarium shows will open for the school holidays along with interactive workshops.
The centre's Kooky Contraptions Science Show will open at 12pm each day of the holidays.
A new planetarium show called Curiosity - a roving laboratory on Mars will launch at the start of holidays.
The show will begin at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm daily.
Their infamous vertical slide is open at 11am, 1pm and 3pm daily.

The Bendigo Art Gallery will host holiday workshop for children aged four to 14.
In conjunction with The Body Beautiful in Ancient Greece, the gallery will offer greek-themed activities.
Children aged four to seven will have opportunity to create helmets and shields out of cardboard, foil, marker pens and other materials.
They can also create their idea of a sphinx out of fake fur, sticks and shiny papers.
Helmets and shields is offered at 11am on Tuesday, September 23 and 30, and at 1.15pm on Wednesday, September 24 and October 1.
The Riddle of the Sphinx will be held at 1.15pm on Tuesday, September 23 and 30, and Wednesday September 24 and October 1.
The children aged eight to 14 will have opportunity to decorate terracotta pots on Thursday, September 25 and Thursday October 2 from 11am and 1.30pm.

City of Greater Bendigo will host two free school holiday fun days in Hargreaves Mall.
On Wednesday, September 24 from 10.30am students can enjoy laser tag, giant chess or connect four and a giant inflatable slide.
On Monday, September 29 from 11am there will be a reptile display called, Croc Stars!.
The city's public space activation officer Karen Cresswell said the activities had become a regular feature in the mall.
"They appeal to a wide variety of age group," she said.
