SEDGWICK'S the Wilkin family has put up a $4000 reward for the safe return of their kelpie Jess.
The beloved dog, who is two years old, went missing on September 5.
For many people, including myself, $4000 is a lot of money.
So much so that after reading the family's story the thought, "Is it really worth it?" crossed my mind.
But then I thought to my family in Echuca and our dogs Lusy and Meg, and what I would do to make sure they were safe.
Of course I would do everything possible, even if it meant emptying my bank account.
It was a simple answer.
I would do everything possible to save my dogs, even if it meant emptying my bank account.
Dogs are not just pets to feed and take for walks, they form important parts of many families.
In the case of Jess the kelpie, she provided her owner with support after an accident in December, 2013.
"I fell over and fractured my skull, and was unconscious on the road," Glenn Wilkin said.
"Jess stayed with me until someone came along the road to help. She stayed by my side the whole time."
So to the Wilkins, I hope Jess is returned to you safe and sound.
If anyone has seen Jess contact her family on 0418 173 557.
