CareFlight will conduct its MediSim workshop with members of the Bendigo Country Fire Authority at Huntly on Saturday.
The workshop will equip volunteers with the skills required to make critical decisions when arriving at the scene of an emergency in rural and regional areas.
Program co-ordinator Colin Brown said the workshops helped volunteers deal with challenging situations.
"Every volunteer that trains with us has the opportunity to learn from highly experienced emergency medical clinicians," he said.
"This directly benefits the community, the patient, the emergency service volunteers and the health system by being able to better respond in trauma situations."
Mannequins and a car crash rescue simulator will be used during the practical component of the workshop.
Ninety-five workshops have been conducted in other parts of the country since it's launch four years ago.
