FULL-TIME, 8.35pm: Melbourne City completes a four-nil victory after Marino scores second goal in the final minute of the match.
FC Bendigo had defended solidly and conceded just two goals in the opening 75 minutes.
Once both line-ups turned to youth it was Bendigo which battled in the back half and the classy City line-up cut through to score two more goals.
UPDATE, 8.29pm: Melbourne City out to 3-0 lead after Prelevic is on target. Great to see FC Bendigo give 16-year-old players Sam Scoble and Charlie McCormick a run.
UPDATE, 8.22pm: Chip by Symeoy goes over crossbar as City keep doing plenty of the attacking. Melbourne leads two-nil at just over five minutes to go.
UPDATE, 8.20pm: Melbourne City has now made eight substitutions as it gives youth players an opportunity.
Young striker Marc Marino had golden opportunity to make it 3-0 in City's favour, but Bendigo keeper Seb Mattei makes another superb save.
FC Bendigo has also gone to its bench and given three younger players in the squad a chance to shine against quality opposition.

UPDATE, 8pm: Melbourne City holds two-goal lead after Archibald struck second goal of the contest in the eight-minute of second half. Archbold finished off attacking move set up by the brilliant Damien Duff.
FC Bendigo made promising start to the half when a fine header by captain Trent Waterson was saved by City keeper Tando Felaphi.

HALF-TIME REPORT, 7.38pm: Melbourne City could not capitalise on a swag of possession throughout most of the opening 45 minutes of this contest on FC Bendigo's turf.
City's central defender Patrick Kisnorbo was swung forward late in the half in a bid to use his aerial skills.
Despite plenty of attacking play from City, FC Bendigo keeper Seb Mattei and the defence have teamed well to concede just one goal.
Mattei made two great saves.
City midfielder Damien Duff is clearly the most dangerous player on the pitch.
Midfielders Aaron Mooy and Paulo Retre have also impressed for City.
Fans can expect plenty of changes in the second half as both teams have sizeable benches.
FC Bendigo played in the National Premier League Victoria division one just three days ago and has another contest this weekend.

City lead 1-0 after 27 minutes.
FC Bendigo captain and key midfielder Trent Waterson had a shot on goal in the 18th minute, but it was wide of the target.
Melbourne City has dominated possession and forced FC Bendigo to defend grimly in an entertaining contest.
