EARLIER: VOTING has opened for the Bendigo Advertiser's $20 Op Shop Challenge.
As part of National Op Shop Week, Lyn O'Brien, Ange Graystone, Abigail Trewartha and Kelly Robson were put to the test on Tuesday to see who could come up with the best second-hand outfit using only $20.
Ms Graystone went for a vintage spring racing look, teaming a purple-speckled dress with purple wedges and a cream fascinator. All up she spent $13 on her outfit.
"Spring is coming, why not vote for the spring time fashionista Ange," she said.
Ms Graystone also spent $6 dressing her two-year-old daughter Matilda.
Ms O'Brien spent just under $20 to buy a top, pants, a hat, shoes and a bag.
"I would love to win because I have been buying and supporting the op shops for over 30 years," she said.
Ms Robson went for a casual, summery look, with a skirt, shirt, cardigan, bag, ring and book.
"I think I should win because I have a nice little outfit for going out for afternoon tea," she said.
Ms Trewartha purchased shoes, a blouse, shirt, cardigan, earrings, a skirt and a purse.
So, who should be crowned the region's thriftiest fashionista?
Voting closes at 5pm on Friday, August 29.
Winners announced in Saturday's edition of the Bendigo Advertiser.
One lucky voter will win a Soda Stream Genesis drink maker worth about $100 just by leaving their details. Cast your vote below...
