YCW - the Eagles aren’t going to make the finals, but they can end the season with some momentum. 

They’ve won their past two games ahead of a home clash with Mitiamo.

If the Eagles are victorious on Saturday in Pat Jess’ last game as coach, they’d finish the year with six wins, which would be twice as many as last season.

MITIAMO - have been the big disappointments of the LVFL this year after their major recruiting campaign.

They have been good enough to compete with the likes of Pyramid Hill, Marong and BL-Serpentine without being able to take a top-five scalp.

And last week became the team Inglewood ended its 27-game losing streak against.

INGLEWOOD v PYRAMID HILL - 2.15pm Saturday at Inglewood.

Since 1995: Pyramid Hill 28; Inglewood 11.

INGLEWOOD - the monkey is finally off the back for the Blues, who for the first time since round four last year enter a game in winning form.

The Blues defeated Mitiamo by 10 points last week to end a 27-game losing streak.

Would be a massive upset to beat Pyramid Hill, but if they can, would be their first back-to-back wins since rounds 17-18 2008.

PYRAMID HILL - the Bulldogs are headed for their seventh-consecutive top-three finish.

But the big question remains when are they going to finally turn consistent home and away form into the premiership that has eluded the club since 1950?

They have beaten Inglewood by at least 80 points in each of their past seven meetings against the Blues.

BRIDGEWATER v CALIVIL UNITED - 2.15pm Saturday at Bridgewater.

Last time: Round 9, 2014: Bridgewater 26.21 (177) d Calivil United 5.5 (35).

Since 1995: Calivil United 22; Bridgewater 16; Drawn 1.

BRIDGEWATER - round out their home and away season against Calivil United.

If they win - as they should comfortably - they will become the first LVFL team since the Demons in 2005 to end a home and away season undefeated.

Still got a bit of work to do though to equal the Demons’ streak of 44 wins in a row. Theirs is currently at 21 on the trot.

CALIVIL UNITED - has been a tough season for the Demons, and it won’t get any easier on Saturday against Bridgewater. 

Unless they can conjure an upset of epic proportions, the Demons will finish the season with three wins - their lowest tally since winning two games in 1987.

A challenging season, but every club goes through it.

NEWBRIDGE v MARONG - 2.15pm Saturday at Newbridge.

Last time: Round 9, 2014: Marong 15.10 (100) d Newbridge 12.12 (84).

Since 1995: Newbridge 24; Marong 16.

NEWBRIDGE - nothing to gain for the Maroons in this match against Marong.

Whatever happens on Saturday, they will be playing in the elimination final the following week - most likely against the Panthers as well.

One of those games for the Maroons where they just want to get it through it unscathed and keep a bit up their sleeve.

MARONG - an elimination final against Newbridge is on the cards, but there is still the mathematical chance the fourth-placed Panthers can get into the top three.

But it’s unlikely considering the Panthers would need Inglewood to upset Pyramid Hill, or they would need to beat Newbridge by enough to make up 14 percent on BL-Serpentine.
