The team will be contesting the Victorian Country Short Course Championships in Shepparton.
Swimming coach Tony Rodda said there was a few swimmers competing at the event for the first time.
“In the lead up to these championships, the East swimmers have performed brilliantly to achieve quite a few personal best times,’’ Rood said.
“We had some excellent performances at the recent State Open Championships, including the 12-and-under age group which saw many club records broken,” he said.
Fellow coach John Jordan said qualifying for the meet was a great achievement.
“This is reward for the months of hard training and competing to achieve the qualifying times required, with a number of the team qualifying in the top 10 for their age groups,” he said.
“With strong competition from across country Victoria, all the swimmers will have to be at their best to maintain these positions.”
