WILL Abbott survive. That is the topic former federal opposition leader John Hewson will discuss at a business lunch in Bendigo next week.

Mr Hewson, former leader of the Liberal Party, will be joined by AFL Central Victoria regional general manager and former Essendon Football Club player Paul Hamilton at the fundraiser, which raises money for the Sandhurst Football Netball Club.

Club president Peter Watson said the business lunch would be a fantastic chance to hear from two greats of the political and sporting arenas.

" . . . I’m sure Mr Hewson will have great insight into where our current prime minister is headed," he said.

"And for those of you who would rather talk about the footy than (politics), Mr Hamilton will be presenting on the future of our great game."

The lunch will be held at the Foundry Hotel Complex on August 15 from 11.30am.

Tickets are $90. To book contact Danny Ellis on 0408 881 532.
