The 18-year-old is ready to fly around the velodrome in Gwangmyeong, South Korea, when action gets under way from Friday, August 8.
Dean earnt his place on the Australian team with blistering performances in the sprint events at nationals in January, winning gold in the keirin, 1km time trial and team sprint and silver behind a Korean national in the individual sprint.
He will have plenty of support from family members in the stands.
