UPDATE: South Bendigo tackles Kyneton

SOUTH Bendigo tackles Kyneton in Saturday's 13th round of the Bendigo Football League season at Queen Elizabeth Oval.

Many of the premiership-winning stars in South Bendigo's teams from the 50s, 1969, '74, and the early 90s have gathered at the famous ground to watch the Bloods take on the Tigers.

The Peter Tyack and Neale Torpey-coached South Bendigo is chasing its second victory and a chance to move off the bottom of the ladder.

Kyneton has achieved a 4-8 record in its return to the senior competition after a break last year.

The Mark Adamson-coached Tigers are on the rebound from a big defeat at Gisborne last round.

Final score: South Bendigo 15.13 (103) d Kyneton 11.6 (72).

Bloods celebrate their second win of season and first at QEO in 2014 as they respond to Tigers challenge.

South scored four unanswered goals after Kyneton drew within two goals in final term.

A match-high five goals by Matthew Chisari, a first-year player at Bloods and Bendigo Bank Pionerrs under-18 team among many highlights for the red and white.

Back-to-back goals by teenager Matt Chisari have put the Bloods up by 11 points at the end of a closely-fought first half.

Kyneton scored two of the first three goals in the second term, but the Bloods' greater workrate at both ends of the ground was a key factor in taking control of this contest.
