The Axedale Primary School student has shown great dedication during several months to raise money for the Heart Foundation's Jump Rope for Heart Foundation.
Her father, Jeff Smith, said he was absolutely amazed at the generosity of everyone who has donated money.
"It's hard to put a lot of things into words," Mr Smith said.
He said his daughter wanted to thank everybody who had donated.
Mr Smith had a heart two years ago and is proud that his daughter has contributed so much to fund research into heart disease and stroke.
"She saw me go through the heart attack, she saw everything," he said.
He said Zara's desire to support people with heart disease was "unconditional" - it didn't matter who it was, she just wanted to help.
A few weeks ago, after she raised more than $9000, Zara became the top individual fundraiser in the history of Jump Rope for Heart.
Zara and her parents spent time during her school holidays visiting Heathcote, Echuca Moama, Rochester and Bendigo to collect donations.
