Senior Constable Stephen Bice said the sedan, which was driving south down Station Street, and a ute, which was travelling west along Ironstone Road, collided around 1.30pm.
"The ute's gone left into Station Street and the car coming down Station Street has failed to give way (at the give way sign) and has gone straight through," Senior Constable Bice said.
Senior Constable Bice said he did not think speed was a factor in the accident but it was a known "bad intersection".
"It could have been a different scenario if it had of been a stop sign, we're going to have to have a look at this intersection."
Station Street resident Jason Trindall said he could recall three bad accidents in the residential area in the past month.
"There are a lot of kids in the area too, and the street's notorious for speed," he said.
Neighbour from across the road Jacquii Jackson said the intersection was so bad she thought if something wasn't done "someone's going to die".
"You're in your house and you hear a bang and you just know it's another crash so you come and see if everyone's okay," she said.
