The tournament's No. 3 seed, Trump triumphed in Friday's quarter-final against No. 6 seed Ricky Walden at Bendigo Stadium in Marong Road.
An exciting battle between the Englishmen ended in a 5-4 triumph by Judd.
The contest began with Walden racing to a 3-1 lead.
Trump won the next two frames before Walden regained the lead.
Another frame to Trump levelled scores and he held a 14-0 lead early in the ninth and deciding frame.
Fans are being treated to an absorbing duel on the adjacent table.
China's Xiao Guodong leads Matthew Stevens, 4-2.
Guodong is the 16th seed and Stevens is the 12th seed of the prestigious event which is now in its fourth year in Bendigo.
