A 64-year-old Bendigo woman died in hospital after sustaining life threatening injuries from being knocked to the ground by the car, which was turning from a parking spot on Williamson Street.
Witnesses told police that a car drove out of a centre medium strip parking space and was attempting to turn right onto the street when the woman was struck at low speed.
Sergeant Geoff Annand said Bendigo police had interviewed the driver of the car on Tuesday afternoon.
"Now it's before the Coroner, a brief will be prepared," he said.
