Hobbs said the selected squad was so strong it would be difficult to select which girls would start the game.
“We are confident we have got the team that will win us the game,” she said.
“A lot of the girls played state league together so they are familiar with one another.
“We have strong depth this year."
The team includes Tiana Newman (Gisborne), Maddy Stewart (Gisborne), Allira Holmes (Golden Square), Carly Geary (Golden Square), Alicia McGlashan (Kangaroo Flat), Rachel Mackenzie (Kangaroo Flat), Lauren Cowling (Kangaroo Flat), Nikita Block (Kyneton), Emma Webb (Kyneton), Gabriella Greene (Sandhurst) and Prue O’Mahony (Sandhurst).
Newman and Cowling have been named co-captains for the game.
Hobbs said she couldn’t split the pair.
“They have both showed great leadership,” she said.
“They both have represented Bendigo before, they are both leaders at their respective clubs and they have showed great commitment during trials and training.
“I couldn’t separate the two.”
Hobbs said in comparison to last year the open inter-league team has been able to train together on more than one occasion.
“We haven’t had much match-play so we did have a hit out against the Heathcote District team on Monday night and then we trained again on Thursday,” she said.
"Most of the girls have played state-league together and from that we have had a few Kyneton and Sandhurst girls just slot into the team.
"All the girls are getting a long great and are working great together."
Last year Bendigo fell short against Ballarat.
This year's team includes just four players from last year's four-goal loss.
Hobbs says this year that result will change.
“I thought we were unlucky last year,” she said.
“This year we are more organised and I think that will make a huge difference.”
Bendigo netballer will face Gippsland at the Queen Elizabeth Oval courts on Saturday at 1.30pm.
The under-17 Bendigo team will be coached by Kathryn Gilmore.
It includes, Georgia Bolton (Sandhurst), Meg Williams (Sandhurst), Delaynie Caldwell (Sandhurst), Elley Lawton (Sandhurst), Imogen Sexton (Sandhurst), Ashley Sexton (Sandhurst), Rylee Connell (Gisborne), Sammi Cooke (Gisborne), Ash Ryan (Golden Square), Abbey Aryan (Golden Square), Chelsea Sartori (Kangaroo Flat) and Dayna McGough (Strathfieldsaye Storm).
Bendigo will play Echuca at noon.
