GOLFERS from near and far chipped in to support Haven's latest project at Friday's charity event on the Bendigo Golf Club's fairways and greens.
The Big Hit Charity Golf tournament drew more than 130 starters on the picturesque Epsom course.
Event manager Paul Murphy said support for the event, on and off the course, was outstanding.
"It's been a brilliant turnout and a great result," Mr Murphy said.

"This is the first time we have run a Big Hit Charity Golf Day in Bendigo.
"A lot of sponsors chipped in to support this event."
Symes Motors was major sponsor of the Bendigo round.
Various prize packs were up for grabs.
"We have run events around Victoria, but will be keen to be back in Bendigo again," Mr Murphy said.
"Haven's project is something we were keen to support."
The Sidney Myer Haven Project includes the development of 23 units in Flora Hill.
"It's not just about affordable housing, but also a social development," Mr Murphy said.
Guest celebrity at the Bendigo event was football identity Peter "Crackers" Keenan.
A ruckman in North Melbourne's premiership team in 1977, "Crackers" played 213 matches across his VFL career with Melbourne, North Melbourne and Essendon.
The charity event included an auction of sports memorabilia.
Some of the big-ticket items had been signed by Richmond's four-time premiership coach Tom Hafey who passed away last Monday following his battle with cancer.
"The support from Tommy and the Hafey family for this event was incredible," Mr Murphy said.
