The game will now be played at the Queen Elizabeth Oval.
It was originally fixtured to be played at Victoria Park in Echuca on June 22 however it has now been moved to Bendigo.
Concerns were raised by both the Bendigo Football Club and and the Echuca Football Club about the ground's capacity to to host a VFL clash.
In a statement released by the Gold it said the ground was in great condition for local football but due to the increased expectations of VFL football means Victoria Park would not meet the expected standards to host the game.
It said significant investment of Victoria Park's facilities would have to be made in the lead-up to the game if it were to go ahead.
Bendigo Gold say it remains committed to taking VFL games to regional areas.
The Gold say they are confident a VFL game would be played in Echuca in the near future.
Later this month the Bendigo Gold will travel to Swan Hill for its round eight clash against North Ballarat.
