Mr Vaughan took out a whopping 57 per cent of the vote, with the next closest competitors - Christie Charter and Georgia Slacik - receiving 14 and 8 per cent respectively.
Almost 3000 votes were recorded and the lucky voter prize went to Matthew Downes.
Mr Vaughan's dashing lyrca onesie and sleek Elvis wig were an instant hit with voters.
But Mr Vaughan admitted that his girlfriend Millicent Hipwell - who voted many times - may have helped him get over the line as well.
Mr Vaughan said the prize, a five-night accommodation package for two adults at the four-star Grande Florida on the Gold Coast, was "fantastic".
He said he chose his outfit "just to wear something stupid".
He said the outfit was a hit on the day of the festival as well, with many strangers approaching him for photos.
Mr Vaughan, 22, is a Bendigo local and a barman.
