With rain expected at some stage today or tomorrow, it’s fair to say the more weatherproof you are, the better you will survive GTM 2014.
I’m tipping a lot of people will be investing in some Wellington boots with some fantastic patterns and colours sure to be on show.
I also think the onesies will be back out in force given they are a fantastic way to warm up you whole body.
But if you determined to look cool and not like a giant toddler, then make sure your shoes don’t have holes in them and your leather jacket can stand getting at least a little bit wet.
Festival crowds should also remember how bitterly cold last year got when the sun went down.
It’s easy to keep warm while dancing to some great acts but if that’s not your thing then at least make sure you have something extra to throw on when it gets cold.
Experienced festival-goers will have a base camp somewhere in the showgrounds with a couple of people guarding bags and a prime viewing location.
With that sort of set-up, it doesn’t matter how awful the mobile coverage is (and it will be).
Most importantly, we’re all there to have a good time and enjoy a great show. No point in getting offended if someone accidently bumps into you in all their excitement of seeing their favourite act play their favourite song.
Have fun and rock on, Bendigo!
