The Castlemaine musician, whose name is Oliver Hugh Perry, is a local act who was added to the line-up alongside Outlines, My Echo and Lurch and Chief.
DD Dumbo impressed crowds at the South by Southwest festival in Texas this year and has just released his debut, self-titled EP.
The EP includes his lead single Tropical Oceans and showcases Perry’s musical style.
It features strong backbeats, an almost moaning and hypnotic vocal and tastes of electric guitar.
Another highlight on the five-track EP is Crying, a cover of Roy Orbison’s hit track.
The cover is stripped back and highlights the raw style of DD Dumbo’s music.
With a 12-string electric guitar in hand, this mysterious musician from Castlemaine is sure to be a new favourite with portions of the GTM crowd.
DD Dumbo plays at 11.30am tomorrow at GTM.
