Groom: Tom Brown
Date: December 31, 2013 (New Years Eve)
The meeting:
Tom and I met two years ago in Geelong at a gym where we were both training. You could say it was love at first sight. One coffee date, followed by a movie date and we instantly fell in love.
The proposal:
We got engaged just after Christmas in 2012, while we were home with my family in Bendigo.
Tom had organised to propose in Daylesford New Year’s eve but couldn’t hold out any longer and took me to a lovely dinner and then a walk through the park where he proposed inside the Conservatory in Rosalind Park.
The wedding:
We live in Geelong and had many outings at Jack Rabbit Winery on the Bellarine.
We had joked early on in our relationship that if we ever got married it would be the most perfect location.
So as soon as we were engaged we booked this most amazing venue and it was wonderful.
Jack Rabbit sits on a hill overlooking the bay, with spectacular views. Better still is their amazing wine and food to go with it.
We had a small wedding with our closest friends and family and celebrated with canapés, wine, lots of fun, laughter and so much love.
It was a big party with fireworks at midnight to cap off a magical day, especially being New Years Eve. We certainly started 2014 with a bang.
The dress:
My dress was made by an Adelaide designer Caleche which was mermaid style, completed in ivory lace with a sweetheart neckline and a small train with pearl buttons down the back.
My style for the wedding was vintage chic - simple, classy and quirky. My bouquet was hand made with flowers from the Eternal Vase and brooches I had collected to create an original piece I could keep forever.

The Cake:
I had a three layered vintage cake made of red velvet, chocolate and vanilla mud cakes.
The honeymoon:
We are planning our honeymoon for Bali in September, because we bought a house and moved in a week after the wedding. So we are waiting until later in the year to travel and relax.
