The authority, along with the council, has been informing residents of the results of a comprehensive flood study conducted last year and explaining what the results mean for them.
North Central CMA chief executive Damian Wells said it would help members prepare for a flood.
Residents who live between Eaglehawk and Sailors Gully will receive a letter in coming days inviting them to partake in the community consultation.
