THE Rangas were the big sliders of the EVCA this season.
Having played in the past three grand finals, the Rangas tumbled down the ladder to finish sixth.
The slide seems hard to fathom when they had three batsmen - Matt Giri (64.0), Ben Rodda (67.8) and Phil Berry (62.8) - who all averaged in the 60s.
But they were always behind the eight-ball this season when they won two just of their first six games.
While they did find some form late to end the season with more wins than losses, by then it was too late.
Explosive opening batsman Giri was one of the stars of the EVCA, topping the runs with 640, which included two tons, while he was also the joint Cricketer of the Year.
The Rangas did win some silverware when they took out the Bash for Cash.
DIVISION 2: 2nd – 9-2-3.
