The event, being held at 7pm on Saturday, is being run on behalf of Australia for Dolphins, which is campaigning to end the dolphin hunts which take place each year in Taiji Cove in Japan.
AFD chief executive Sarah Lucas will give a pre-screening talk about her experiences of witnessing the annual dolphin drive-hunts in Taiji and explain the work AFD is doing.
Event organiser Geoff McKeon said The Cove, which features the former dolphin trainer Ric O'Barry, exposes the corruption and greed that perpetuates this cruelty.
“Bendigonians can enjoy a fantastic film experience in a wonderful renovated space, knowing that their attendance not only will open their eyes to the reasons that these hunts occur, but will also support AFD's efforts to shut down the industry which so cruelly exploits these amazing creatures for profit,” he said.
