She mans the desks and chats to visitors travelling through the town situated on the Northern Highway.
"We sell vline tickets here now," she said.
"I learn lots of new things.
"I show people the wineries and great walks to go on in the area.
"We have lots of great eateries in the area.
Ms Griffiths is one 20 volunteers at the centre.
She works four days a week.
After living in Reservoir, a suburb north of Melbourne's CBD, Christine decided that she was in need of either a sea change or a tree change.
A tree change won out and she ended up in Heathcote.
"It's a good community," she said.
Christine said everyone should give volunteering a go.
"Come and join us," she said.
"We are a friendly mob."
