Matt scores career-high 21 points for Cavs
MATTHEW Dellavedova has scored a career-high 21 points to lead Cleveland to a thrilling one point win against Detroit on Thursday.
The Maryborough-raised guard made seven from nine field goals and shot five of the team's nine three pointers in the Cavaliers' dramatic 97-96 victory.
Dellavedova also made six assists.
The Bendigo Advertiser-WIN Television Sports Star of the Year played 35 minutes off the bench.
The Cavs' win was one of the away wins they have had all season with Detroit holding on to a 16-point lead heading into the final quarter.
Cleveland managed to rally in the last 12 minutes to win in a nail-bitter.
Dallevedova kept the Cavs within striking distance of the Pistons with his perimeter shooting.
Cavaliers' Dion Waiters hit a contested shot from the baseline at the final buzzer to win the game.
Cleveland have now won three games in a row.
Earlier this week Dellavedova also scored his first double-double in Cleveland's loss to Oklahoma City.
Cleveland will now play the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
