Blicavs was invited to attend the Opals' training camp in Canberra this week after WNBL most valuable player Suzy Batkovic and Dandenong Rangers star Jenna O'Hea declared themselves unavailable for the world titles in September.
Canberra Capitals young gun Alex Bunton, who is playing with the Bendigo Lady Braves over winter, was also added to the squad.
Blicavs will be on court for the Geelong Supercats for the 2014 SEABL season.
The Opals squad also includes Spirit pair Kelly Wilson and Tessa Lavey, while Gabe Richards is one of three injured players at the camp in a rehab group.
