Pinniger's 115 helped the Redbacks set up an imposing 6-283 against Golden Square in the grand final at the Queen Elizabeth Oval.
Since 1922 - from which all BDCA grand final scorecards are available - Pinniger's 115 was the 26th first XI century.
The left-handed opener almost beat Golden Square off his own bat after Square was bowled out for 119 on Sunday.
The weekend was Pinniger's fourth first XI flag for the Redbacks.
