Dellavedova recorded his first double-double - 11 points and a career-high 10 assists.
The Maryborough-raised guard played 33 minutes off the bench, making four of his eight field goal attempts.
He also spent time guarding Thunder star Kevin Durant.
"I thought Delly did a great job coming off the bench for us and getting a double-double. I thought he played hard,” Cleveland coach Mike Brown said.
“We had to throw him (Dellavedova) out there early on Kevin Durant. Nobody is stopping Kevin Durant, but I thought he fought his behind off."
The Cavs trailed by as many as 24 points before fighting back to get within five points in the final minute.
