Donning Maldon's black and red colours the Premier was presented with a shirt, cap and membership by club president John Purcell.
Purcell said when he gifted Doctor Napthine the supporters kit he was asked about the team's chances for the 2014 Maryborough Castlemaine District Football season.
"I was asked about our season's draw," he said.
"He wanted some hot tips on the best games.
"Dr Napthine mentioned he would love the chance to see us play."
Purcell said having such a prominent Victorian as the number one ticket holder would hopefully boost the club's morale and encourage sponsors.
“At a small club like ours, it all adds up," he said.
"Our players have been training hard and now we start serious preparations for a brilliant season ahead."
Last season Maldon lost in the semi-final to grand finalist, Lexton.
The Bombers will kick-off their 2014 campaign against Talbot on April 12.
