Seems like a dream come true for any young photographer.... And it was!
Once arriving at the track and after a quick bag check by security, it was not long before we arrived at the Red Bull tent greeted by two lovely Red Bull girls.
On the inside of the tent you could be mistaken for thinking you had entered a Nikon store with techs and sales people eager to help.
It wasn't long before I got what I came for.
Julie from Nikon handed me the new D4s and I was eager to put it through its paces - so I raced outside and after a few quick setting changes (these cameras were literally just out of the box) I was firing shots away at the Australian Airforce Roulettes.
The camera handled this beautifully and it wasn't long before the Formula 1s where out on the track.
I was able to get a few panning shots through the fence, which is no easy task, before winding down a little and having some fun by grabbing a few shots of Lachlan and Justin from the Ballarat Courier.
All in all I had a great day down in Melbourne soaking up the sun, testing out the new camera and sipping on a cocktail... Now just to get the boss to sign me up for one!
