As part of March in March, an independent protest being held in 28 locations across Australia, supporters will be gathering at Victoria Park.
The nationwide protest, which has attracted more than 50,000 supporters on Facebook, aims to show a vote of no confidence in the Abbott Government.
Organiser Amy Sattler said it was about everyone getting together to realise they can change things.
“We decided we wouldn’t march, instead we are bringing our movement through dance,” she said.
“We want to make is as big as we can but make it ok for families.
“It is about acknowledging we are in a situation and trying to harness that energy into what we can all do to change it.”
The event takes place in Victory Park on Sunday March 16 from 11am.
There will be three guest speakers, performers and bands.
