Playing in the under-13B side for Strathdale against Kangaroo Flat at Browning Street last Saturday, Cameron was the talk of the team when he claimed a hat-trick.
And he achieved it the best way possible - bowling all three Kangaroo Flat batsmen in consecutive balls.
"It was very exciting," Cameron said on Friday.
Cameron, who is 11 and in grade six at St Therese's Primary School, finished with figures of 4-13 off three overs in the second innings of his side's victory over Kangaroo Flat.
He was also in fine form with the ball the previous week in the first innings when he took 2-3 off two overs.
Cameron's father, Steven, described his son as a "cricket tragic".
"He lives and breathes cricket all summer, so it was very exciting for him," said Steven, who plays for Sedgwick.
"I'm not much of a bowler, so he has certainly got me covered."
Cameron will be hoping his good form can continue with the ball this weekend when Strathdale plays Marong in a semi-final at Marong.
