The Bears have worked hard to secure the numbers for an under-17 team, and while they could still do with some more players, the side will be up and running again in 2014.
The under-17 side - to be coached by a mix of Bears' senior players - will hold its first training session, as well as a parent information night from 5pm at the Long Gully Oval on Monday night.
"We've been putting a plan together for the past couple of years to make sure the club survives into the future," Bears senior coach Damien Featherby said on Saturday.
"You will always fill your senior side, but the under-17 side is much harder, so we want to put a structure in place to make sure we're sustainable for the future.
"We really want to make sure that the kids out in our district have a footy club to play for in the years to come."
The Bears have formed an alliance with the Maiden Gully Junior Football Club.
The Bears will filter their young players to Maiden Gully until they are old enough to play under-17s.
