Premier's aces set for play

AFTER consecutive weeks of unplayable heat, the  Bendigo Tennis Association’s premier league and section one teams are set for Saturday's play.

Matches will be at the Bendigo Lawn Tennis Club in Nolan Street from 1pm.

The all-BLTC clash between Rising Sun and Metro is on courts two, three and four.

Metro look to have the edge on the men’s side through Zac Lethlean, Isaac Watson and Ryan Leader against Terry Smith and Michael Smyth.

Rising Sun's Rebecca Tweed and Tova Penno will start favourites against Tamara Wright and Rashelle Blencowe.

Rising Sun to win 7-5.

BLTC Noonan Electrical plays Spring Gully Bigpond on courts five, six and seven.

Ben Noonan, Jono Guy and Sam Storer take on Gully's Jack Baker and Frank Ryan.

Bigpond’s Heather Robbins and Lani Hamilton look to have the edge against  Steph and Maddy Mein.

An 8-4 victory for Bigpond.

The ladder-leading Spring Gully Brougham Arms has the bye.
