Students took a tour of the college and spent time in sport and recreation, outdoor and environmental studies, competition vehicles, engineering, hospitality, music styles, art and drama classes.
Nathalia Secondary College assistant principal Helen Ginnivan said the aim of the visit was to give students the chance to learn about the wider world.
She said the college had only 17 year 11 students compared with 1700 at BSSC.
"The purpose of the excursion is to develop bigger aspirations," she said.
"We wanted to show them there is a bigger pool outside of Nathalia.
"We have had dealing before with BSSC."
VCE teacher and senior school co-ordinator Sue Nichol said her students enjoyed visiting the college.
"They really liked it," she said.
She said the visit was part of a senior school transition camp.
She said the students had also visited La Trobe University and Bendigo TAFE.
