Brayshaw lived out every bowler's dream when he snared the hat-trick in the Jets' Bendigo District Cricket Association third XI game against Bendigo.
While most bowlers would try for a yorker or a nick to the wicket-keeper on a hat-trick delivery, left-armer Brayshaw opted for a bouncer to Scott Langan.
And it worked, with Langan (0) skying a shot that was caught by wicket-keeper Martin Leyden.
"The bouncer is a bit of a different ball to bowl on a hat-trick delivery... I thought instead of a line-and-length ball I'd mix it up a bit," Brayshaw said.
"It was good that the boys were able to get a good result and I was just happy to contribute."
As well as Langan, Brayshaw also dismissed Nathan Cutting (bowled, 14) and Josh Naunton (caught Leyden, 0) in his hat-trick.
Brayshaw finished with 5-29 off five overs in the Jets' eight-wicket win.
