Cyclists gear up for Toowoomba

OCEANIA titles will be up for grabs when cyclists race at Toowoomba next week.

The three-day titles start on February 21 when individual time trials are contested. Road races are on Saturday and Sunday.

Best Young Rider in the Jayco Herald Sun Tour and the Tour Down Under, Bendigo's Jack Haig will be one to watch.

The Avanti team member will pit his skills against the likes of Harry Carpenter, Alex Clements, Jack Anderson, Luke Durbridge and New Zealand's Michael Vink.

The women’s field is highlighted by defending road race champion Katrin Garfoot, Emily Roper, Jessica Mundy and Chloe McConville.

Racing starts at 8.30am on Friday, 9.30am on Saturday, and 8am on Sunday.
