About 1450 athletes from across the state competed in the championships, held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
The Bendigo East Swimming Club sent one of its largest teams to the meet.
“The months of hard work throughout the winter and short course season and leading up to these major events has paid huge dividends,” coach Tony Rodda said.
Breaststroke swimmer Kate Jordan was among the swimmers who competed in a final.
She took home the gold medal in the Women 16 Years 50 metre breaststroke with a time of 34.67.
The winning performance is on the back of her good form from the Victorian Open State Championships where she became the first swimmer to represent Bendigo East in a final.
The Bendigo East swimmers who took part in the Victorian State Age Sprint Championships included, James Coughlin, Layla Day, Xavier Dole, Harry Downing, Carmen Franz, Alex Gibson, Holly, Madeline and Thomas Hawke, Rebecca Holmes, Harrison Howell, Kyle Jacobsen, Cameron and Kate Jordan, Alex Liacos, Anna, James and Will Mittell, Kaitlyn Morgan, Xavier Morrissey, Jack Nicholas, Eleanor Rodda, Bryce Schubert, Maggie Skewes, Jarrod and Matthew Slot, Connor Symons, Michael Valentine, Brad and Kiara Verbeek, Ethan, Sophie and Jacob Waller and Brittany, Ella and Imogen Wassing.
The club will now focus on the Country All Juniors Qualifiers and the District Championships before turning its attention to the National Championships.
