The store, in partnership with Bendigo Animal Welfare and Community Services, is hosting a pet dating day on February 15.
Petbarn Kangaroo Flat store manager Paul Epworth said potential owners were welcome to come into the store to meet the cats and kittens.
He said if people find an animal they love, they would be able to go through the pet adoption process.
Mr Epworth said unlike a human date, an adopter could get their money back if they didn't connect with the pet.
"We like our animals to go to homes where they are loved," he said.
"Bendigo Animal Welfare and Community Service will refund any money."
Mr Epworth said all the pets at the store had been rescued by the Bendigo Animal Welfare and Community Services.
"Some of their owners have had to relocate, some of them have come from elderly people who have moved on, and some of them have been abused," he said.
"All money from the sales goes back to (Bendigo Animal Welfare and Community Services), we don't take anything."
Mr Epworth said all the cats and kittens in the store were desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Bendigo Animal Welfare and Community Services president Debbie Edwards said the organisation was proud to partner with Petbarn.
"We know that it can be difficult for some people to visit our animal shelter," she said.
"We hope this makes it easier by bringing the animals to a location that's more convenient for people looking to adopt a pet."
Mr Epworth said the adoption centre at Petbarn Kangaroo Flat was always open and people should not worry if they couldn't make it on February 15.
He said he was hoping at least 10 animals were adopted on February 15.
The event is being run at 100 stores nation-wide.
Petbarn Kangaroo Flat is located at 293 to 301 High Street, Kangaroo Flat.
The store is open 8am to 6pm on February 15.
