The Neangar Park member fired a four-under par 68 in Saturday's final round at Imperial Lakeview Golf Club to finish at 13-under par, three shots behind joint winner Matt Jager and Ryoma Yamagata.
Martin made just one bogey in his final three rounds - on the par-four sixth hole on Saturday.
He offset the bogey with birdies on the 4th, 8th, 11th, 13th and 17th.
Martin advances to the final stage of qualifying at the same course in a fortnight.
A top 40 finish at final qualifying will be enough to secure a tour card.
Martin is back in Australia this week to play in the Victorian PGA Championships at The Heritage Country Club in Blackburn.
Lucas Herbert and Kris Mueck are also in the field.
