With temperatures forecast to be in the low 40s, BDCA secretary John Hewitt said a decision on playing would be made at Monday evening's meeting of the board.
Three of the fifth round matches will hit off at 5.15pm, with the clash at Kangaroo Flat to be played from 7pm.
Hewitt said there was no actual heat policy applied for Twenty20.
"By five o'clock the temperature is likely to be falling.
"As such it may come down to commonsense."
Hewitt said with temperatures to be even higher on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday there was no plan to move the matches to another night.
Semi-finals are scheduled for this Sunday at the QEO.
Tuesday night's matches will have a bearing on final standings in both pools.
Unbeaten in Twenty20, Huntly North Epsom and Strathdale-Maristians will clash on Power's turf at Poyser Motors Oval in Huntly.
Bendigo and White Hills will be aiming to break their duck in this season's shortened format when they do battle at Bendigo District RSL Oval in Dower Park.
Sandhurst and Eaglehawk face off at J.L. King Weeroona Oval.
Kangaroo Flat takes on the unbeaten Bendigo United at Dower Park.
The BDCA's Twenty20 grand final will be played on Wednesday, January 22 from 7pm at Queen Elizabeth Oval.
